The AAA Diamond Program extends beyond hotels to include restaurant evaluations. AAA rates approximately 8,500 restaurants across the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean. Like hotels, restaurants are assessed by trained AAA inspectors who evaluate food quality, service, atmosphere, and the overall dining experience. Each restaurant receives a Diamond designation that helps travelers quickly identify dining options that suit their preferences—from casual establishments that meet essential quality standards to fine‑dining venues offering exceptional culinary experiences.
