AAA’s cleanliness evaluation combines scientific ATP testing with a thorough visual inspection. In addition to swabbing high‑touch surfaces for ATP measurement, inspectors conduct a detailed visual review throughout the property. In guest rooms, they examine surfaces and furniture for dust, check the cleanliness of linens and bedding, inspect carpets and flooring, and assess the condition of walls and ceilings. Bathrooms are checked for soap residue, mold, hair, and proper sanitation of fixtures. Inspectors also look in areas guests may overlook—such as corners, behind furniture, and under beds. Public spaces—including lobbies, hallways, elevators, and amenity areas—receive the same level of scrutiny. By combining comprehensive visual inspection with objective ATP testing, AAA provides both subjective assessment and scientific verification of housekeeping effectiveness, ensuring a more complete picture of a property’s cleanliness.
