AAA does not charge hotels for Diamond designations, properties often invest significantly in their operations, facilities, and service delivery to meet or maintain the quality levels expected at each designation tier. Hotels cannot purchase a higher designation—the Diamond rating is earned solely through inspection results reflecting the property’s quality, cleanliness, and service.
