The AAA Diamond Program is open to all hotel types, including boutique properties. Boutique hotels are evaluated using the same criteria as chain hotels—cleanliness, quality of accommodations, amenities, and service. If a boutique property meets AAA’s standards, it receives the Diamond designation appropriate to its level of offerings. Many boutique hotels earn Four or Five Diamond status by delivering distinctive design, personalized service, and high‑quality amenities. The program does not favor any particular style, size, or brand; ratings are based solely on the guest experience a property provides, ensuring a fair and consistent evaluation across all hotel types.
