I'm so glad you shared some memories with us, Ross and Mireya. Even though we have not had much contact in the last few years, you were in Bob's thoughts often. It is a great comfort and encouragement to me (and others at AIA) when we hear new stories about how God used Bob in different ways with different people.
We pray that God will strengthen and encourage us to do the same in the days to come.
: I was first invited to Bob and Gretchenís Bible study class in 1995 (my senior year of high school) by Stephen Ross after hearing Bob and Gretchen doing a dialogue with Frank Beckwith on the Bible Answer Man Program in 1994 on Abortion. The Wednesday night class started at about 6:00pm and ended at about 11:00pm. After the class Bob and I talked until after 1:00am (resurrection theories) and he wanted to keep going. This is what I loved most about Bob, his willingness to invest tons of time with anyone even me back when I was a teenager.
: Many times when I think back to the good old days spending time with Bob and Gretchen I am reminded and often convicted by both their humility as servants of God and their passion to reach people with the gospel.
: I will always be grateful to Bob because he helped me think critically about my old Calvary Chapel doctrine. Because of Bob, I became amillennial and even better a Missouri Synod Lutheran (Mireya and I became members in 1998) and now I am almost done studying for the Ministry at the Fort Wayne Seminary campus. I know that Bob along with my seminary training has made me be a much better theologian and I will be eternally grateful for that.

: PS. One of my favorite memories of Bob is about 8 years ago when I housesat for the Passantinoís, and they had gone to the cornerstone festival. Gretchen gave me a complete list of things to do and know about the house, Bobís only instructions were about the gas main, incase of a fire. Bob had an absolute fear of fire (because of his books) and reminded me about 10 times within an hour conversation of what to do incase of a fire.
: My second favorite memory was New Yearís Eve 1996 when we had a party at Bobís house and I ended up spending the night because the conversation went so late.
