I was saddended to hear that Bob Passantino had passed away. I am not a close friend of the passantino family, nor am I a Orhtodox Christian, but I did admire their fervent deisre to be perceived as intellectual Christians with a heart. I spent a number of hours with Bob and Grethcen hopping down the Ontological bunny trail over the years-attempting to find the Easter Bunny-and enjoyed the existentialist trip. Bob shared my love of history and we would play the "What-If" game for awhile and then he would attempt to place our amatuer "alternate histiographies" into a real world context. I hope that there is an After-life for Christians and that Bob is enjoying a fine dialectical exchange with his later mentor Walter R. Martin. I do not come to bury Bob, rather to honour his memory and pay my respects to his widow and children.
