When Bob was a technical writer at Interstate Electronics many years ago (before we devoted ALL of our time to the ministry), he used to keep an 8th grade English grammar book on his desk so he could settle disputes as his technical bulletins were edited. It took the head editor losing 4 or 5 times in a row to Bob for him to realize Bob had already looked the answer up in his grammar book before the discussion even began! Whether it was in English grammar or the trustworthiness of the gospel, Bob was always prepared!

Blessings in Christ,
Gretchen

: It has been twenty or so years since I had the privilege of spending time with Bob. He was always an encouragement. The way he shared with me (and with others) of his time and humor, personal anecdotes and love for people, knowledge and wisdom, his love for God and the kingdom and Truth impressed me then and impresses me now. Those memories are most precious gifts of the Lord Jesus through a true disciple.
: And going to Bobfs house meant I would be equally impressed with Gretchen as she shared the same! A double blessing!
: A specialty of Bob and Gretchen is that they would give their knowledge and wisdom to us without ever making us to feel as if we had been etalked down to.f And that was not because of some false humility on their part. It was that they did not just impart knowledge, but would also lift up and encourage the seeker of it. They helped us discover the truth rather than simply dole it out. This country boy from the farmland of Minnesota was encouraged greatly each and every time he met with them.
: God bless you, Gretchen in the continued ministry God has planned for you and AIA. Thank you.
: Bob is irreplaceable. I mean, who else would stay up until 2 or 3 in the morning of a workweek night searching for the answer to a question concerning the formal use and technical (archaic) difference between ewillf and eshallf? I guess I have forgotten the answer, but I do remember laughing at Bobfs humor through that night as he dug it up for us in one of his English grammar reference books. For me, the fellowship was time goodly spent. Ifm looking forward to fellowship in glory with Bob, but I know I will be standing in a long line to see him.
