Since we're both only 5'7", I don't think I've ever heard us compared to anything "tall." But you're right -- in many ways we were like on mind and two mouths. But I am even more thankful that our minds were not duplicates of each other, but complementary to each other. I was a little more empathetic. He was more patient. I was more sensitive. He was more persistent. I was more inclined to history and literature. He was more inclined to philosophy and science. Together we became a well-rounded (that term is more physically accurate that "tall"!) apologetic/evangelism partnership I will treasure every day of my life. Thank you for your fond memory.
: I think it was Cornerstone 1996. A lecture
: was scheduled in a tent on "The New Age."
: They entered together and began their
: presentation. I was amazed at how Bob and
: Gretchen soooooo smoooooooothly finished
: each others thoughts and sentences in the
: midst of the lecture. They qualified and corrected
: each other's points in the midst of objectively
: presenting what they knew to be the full truth
: as they knew it. There were no pretenses.
: It was a tall cool glass of water.
