I really loved going to talk with you at Mar's Hill as many times as I could. When I heard that you had passed into enternity, I was speechless because my heart had sunk with tears in my eyes. However, I had this conversation once before with you, so you know that I am happy that we will know each other forever, in Heaven. Thank God for that! The many stories we had of being soldiers won't be forgotten either. The flag that you waived high and fought for symbolized clear thinking philosophical theology; it could have only been the one and only truthful "Christianity". As the Airborne Ranger that I once was, I assure you Bob, that I will pick up your flag and run with it for as long as God let's me. Thanks for all of your love and knowledge. It made me a better Christian, Husband, and Father. You truly taught me the value of living as a humble servant of God. I saw it being lived in your life and it greatly helped to change mine. You will be greatly missed. Thank You Bob for being my friend. From your brother in Christ, Joseph.
P.S. If you think that you can run to Heaven to avoid the chess match we were supposed to have, think again. When I get to Heaven, you'll have a Ranger hunting you down for it!
