I grew up hearing about the Passantinos a fair amount as my dad and them had a lot of contact and worked together on some projects, but I only remember talking to them a few times. The main memory I have of Bob is going to one of his and Gretchen's speed-reading classes at their church. I still can't exactly speed-read, but I remember being so inspired by how much both of them read and knew. Bob had stayed up the whole night before reading 10 books to prepare for the seminar. Afterward, my dad and I went out to eat with them and I just remembering having a really fun time talking with both of them. Bob told us how he could skim through a book and have a dream about it later in which he could read the book in his dream just by skimming through it that one time. I was amazed to say the least. Talking with him inspired me to read more and be more diligent in gaining knowledge. I wish I had gotten to know you more, Bob. You were a fun, intelligent, and most of all, loving guy, and an example to the body of Christ to boldly defend and proclaim the word of God in the face of the world's opposition. You made a lasting impact for the kingdom, and heaven will be more populated because of your ministry.
