I developed a friendship with the Passantino's through their yearly visit to the Cornerstone Festival. The subjects they taught on were always compelling, but as I got to know them, their lives were truly compelling as well.

Its been said that one of Bob's crowning characteristics was the time that he so freely gave to people. That was my experience with Bob,
and my mind flashes back to one time with him in particular.

In July of 2001, during the Cornerstone Fest, Bob invited me and
a few friends back to the hotel for a poolside visit. He and Gretchen had given seminars all day in a hot tent. It's true what was written about Bob and the 'wee hours'; the conversation by the pool lasted until almost 3am, with Bob sharing his full testimony. I remembered thinking that there was no way anyone could hear his story and not be convinced of the reality of a living God who is intimately interested in His creation.

I am grateful to Bob for many conversations like that other the last
13 years...for many, many answered questions...for his kindness...
and most of all, for his passion for Christ Jesus. He has left an
indelible legacy.

Gretchen, you, Mary, Karen and Paul are in my prayers. You are loved.
